Timbuktu-Ali Kaazim, MBA, as its new Director of Operations, supporting the organization’s continued growth and long-term impact in advancing permanently affordable housing across Durham.

In this role, Kaazim provides strategic oversight of organizational infrastructure, real estate development operations, and cross-departmental workflows. Her responsibilities also include advancing DCLT’s homes for sale portfolio and strengthening the homebuyer pipeline, ensuring that development, education, and access strategies remain aligned from project planning through purchase and long-term stewardship.

Kaazim brings extensive experience in operations, real estate, and nonprofit management, informed by years of entrepreneurial leadership supporting mission-driven organizations. Her leadership approach emphasizes stewardship, sustainability, and execution—building durable systems that move organizations from vision to action while centering people and process.
