Amy Pittman

As Director of Development and Communications, Amy Pittman leads Durham Community Land Trustees’ fundraising, communications, partnerships, and community engagement efforts. With a diverse background spanning nonprofit leadership, technology, software sales, project management, and operations, she brings a unique ability to connect people, ideas, and resources in service of DCLT’s mission.

Prior to joining DCLT, Amy built her career in the technology and transportation sectors, where she developed expertise in customer relationship management, strategic communications, business development, and complex project coordination. Her experience in software sales and the tech industry strengthened her ability to cultivate partnerships, manage cross-functional initiatives, and translate ideas into meaningful outcomes.

At DCLT, Amy oversees development and communications strategies, donor engagement, storytelling, events, and collaborative initiatives that advance equitable homeownership and community-driven development. Known for her ability to build relationships and align mission with resources, she works alongside residents, funders, and community partners to expand opportunities and strengthen neighborhoods throughout Durham.

Amy holds a Master of Divinity from Campbell University and is passionate about fostering connections, stewarding partnerships, and helping communities thrive through innovative and mission-driven collaboration.
