To be eligible to purchase a DCLT home, households must generally meet the following:

  • Income Requirement: Total household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for Durham County
  • Homebuyer Readiness: Willingness to complete a Homebuyer Education Session—your first step toward understanding the process and preparing for ownership
  • Primary Residence: The home must be your primary place of residence
