In December 2016, DCLT took advantage of a unique opportunity to acquire 54 units of affordable homes, scattered across various sites in East Durham, from a private seller.
This acquisition significantly increased our portfolio of rental properties. The homes – a mix of multi-family buildings, duplexes, and single-family residences – are currently occupied but fall short of the quality standards DCLT strives to offer its residents. These properties have not received substantial investment in many years and require extensive renovation.
