Nathan A. Kemp

Nathan brings a community-first mindset shaped by years of building relationships across the Triangle. Most recently, he served as a Public Engagement Specialist at GoTriangle, where he connected community leaders, residents, and public agencies; hosted town halls and focus groups; and advanced equitable engagement practices. Earlier roles with the NC Department of Transportation—including work with the NC Global TransPark and as a Policy Analyst Fellow—honed his experience coordinating multisector partnerships, briefing boards, and translating complex initiatives into clear, action-ready outreach. He also founded Alexander G. Events, a full-service event planning firm, giving him end-to-end experience with logistics, timelines, and seamless on-site execution.

In his role as Engagement Coordinator, Nathan will be building relationships with the residents and partners who make our work possible. He’ll be helping us strengthen communications, support volunteer opportunities, and coordinate events and stories that uplift the lived experiences of our communities.

Nathan holds a B.A. in History from North Carolina A&T State University, and comes with experience in community engagement, event planning, marketing, and organizational development with tools like Google Workspace, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more.
