Bringing Durham Home, Together
As winter continues, Durham Community Land Trustees (DCLT) remains steadfast in its mission to build, manage, and advocate for permanently affordable housing in Durham. This season invites reflection on The Care We Give—care that shows up in warm, stable homes, strong neighborhoods, and systems designed to serve both present and future generations.
In 2025, DCLT advanced its impact through homebuyer education, critical capital improvements to more than 75 homes, new construction projects—the first in over a decade—and expanded workforce development through modular construction training. These efforts strengthened neighborhood stability, supported aspiring homeowners, and preserved affordability across Durham.
As DCLT approaches its 50th anniversary, we honor five decades of partnership, stewardship, and community trust. From expanding bilingual homebuyer education and welcoming new leadership to celebrating major milestones like the Grant Street Groundbreaking, DCLT continues to lead with care, collaboration, and purpose.
Looking ahead to 2026, the work continues—grounded in the belief that everyone deserves a place to call home. Together, we celebrate the past, serve the present, and build a more equitable future for Durham.
