Housing Models Resource

LGBTQ+ individuals have employed alternative housing methods for generations, to house our community when other structures have failed. This resource outlines affordable housing models that differ from mainstream development processes. Models described in this resource include Cohousing, Community Land Trusts, Limited Equity Cooperatives, Homesharing, Accessory Dwelling Units, and Transgender Affirming Housing. These models are complemented with case studies of local organizations across the United States that employ these alternative housing models.
