Durham Community Land Trustees, Inc. has rental and homeownership opportunities to meet the needs of families in need of affordable housing. Below is a summary of the products we offer.
Homeownership
Owning a home is one of the most important accomplishments that a person will achieve in his or her lifetime. Durham Community Land Trustees is dedicated to making homeownership a reality for low and moderate-income families. The Land Trust provides homeownership counseling and referrals for needed services throughout the home purchase process. DCLT currently utilizes the community land trust approach to homeownership. Our homeownership program targets families at or below 80% median area income.

Requirements for DCLT Homeownership:

- Attend Home Buyers Education Classes
- Criminal Background Check
- Mortgage Ready
- First Time Home Buyers
Rental Housing
Approximately, 60% of DCLT's affordable housing stock is permanent rental housing. This program includes both apartments and single-family houses.
